Are you ready to evolve and be inspired? Only you would know. Which brings me to the question, how well do you know YOU? How much time do you invest in knowing YOU? I don’t mean material or monetary investing, but what efforts have you taken to evaluate who YOU are? What makes you, YOU? From relationships, both familiar and business, to what to eat and what to wear. The importance of knowing yourself can positively or negatively influence your very existence. Oftentimes we all live our lives spinning from day to day with the usual activities of work, school, kids, worship, etc. The list could go on and on, but because of the many things on the list, the one thing or should I say the one person absent is YOU. So, here’s just a few nuggets, my two cents on getting to know YOU.
Don’t be afraid to take time out to have a relationship with yourself. Are you keeping yourself so busy because you don’t want to confront your feelings, disappointments, or indiscretions? Perhaps you can speak to a confidant or go on a retreat away from your daily spinning where you can reflect and come to some conclusions. What are some things you would do differently next time? Have you owned your decisions and forgiven yourself?
While you’re taking care of everyone else, don’t forget to take care of yourself. One of the things that many don’t know or have forgotten is that sometimes you have to consider your own needs first. If you cannot go on a retreat at least find time regularly to be quiet, alone. Create a calming atmosphere and sort your thoughts. What do you like/love about yourself? What would you like to improve?
Take your dreams seriously. There’s a reason your dreams exist. From the grand to the simple. Don’t let your own insecurities or outside influences extinguish your dreams. Write them down and say them out loud. It may seem silly, but you just might see them more clearly. You may even turn your dream into a multimillion dollar enterprise.
Don’t spend too much of your life with nonsense. It’s inevitable that time will pass by. Begin to spend your time and life wisely. We all know when we’ve reached our limit with nonsense. Nonsense and drama will drain and deplete you. Start to eliminate, unfollow, delete, unsubscribe, and even unfriend nonsense. Figure out what is relevant, intelligent, and meaningful to you.
Prayer and meditation will help center and organize you.Getting to know yourself is not only enlightening but essential in achieving the best YOU that can be imagined. Take action, be confident and enthusiastic about your existence. I want you to be empowered to know YOU. Yes, YOU!
